We spent a beautiful spring day with Dwan and Allyssa doing engagement photos at our farm house in Orion, Michigan. We can’t wait for their Royal Park event in June which will be a combination wedding and baby dedication ceremony.

We shot the Shah family photos on the farm in Orion township, Michigan on a gorgeous morning back in the heatwave of March!It’s always a pleasure to get together with the Shah family. This is the 3rd time we’ve photographed the boys and it’s awesome to see them grow and see their personalities come out. Aaron was filled with questions so we made a deal with him that for each photo he let us take, he was allowed to ask us a question about the farmhouse… =)

Arising Images had the privilege of shooting new photos for the website for Royal Park Hotel located in downtown Rochester, Michigan.

The Brookshire restaurant located inside the hotel is shown below.

The Gallery is a wonderful place to have Sunday brunch and enjoy the terrace view right out side the gallery windows.

The boardrooms of Royal Park are spacious and private, which make them great for corporate meetings.

Ipad’s can be rented out for corporate meetings to help enhance the presentations that are given.

Elliot’s Lounge, is a great place to kick back and mingle with friends and/or clients.

They now have new fancy beer on tap!

The Royal Park put on a huge event called the Creek Side Soiree, for all of their corporate clients. The event was elaborate and beautiful and there was delicious food at every turn. The service was impeccable, they really know how to take care of their clients and guests. We definitely recommend the Royal Park if you’re having an event, whether it’s a small event, a corporate event or a wedding.

PSAV and Colonial Events helped put together the lighting and the presentation of the Creek Side Soiree.

The bocce ball courts are a great place to relax and have some fun!

Delicious desserts were everywhere and man were they amazing!

Fresh lemonade as well as electric blue lemonade!

The new tent at the Royal Park Hotel is draped with gorgeous fabric and is fantastic place to have a wedding or a corporate event. Gerych’s greenhouse of Fenton, Michigan did all the flower arrangements and table scapes and Colonial Events put up the amazing new draped fabric.

We were fortunate enough to photograph Stella after she won a baby contest at the Village of Rochester Hills, Michigan. Stella was super active and quite the talker! She was running around and pointing to everything and saying what it was. Bethany, Stella’s mom was super sweet and adorable. It was very windy, and pretty chilly out with rain drops starting to fall. But Stella was in good spirits the whole time, and was making everyone laugh with her adventurous nature.

Beautiful weather and beautiful people, two ingredients for a fantastic photo shoot! We shot Nick and Brittany’s engagement pictures in Orion Township, Michigan at the farm house. They are super friendly and easy to talk to, which made the shoot fly by… since time flies, when you’re having fun (sorry for the cheesiness, but it’s true!) They drove over from Chicago for the weekend and managed to squeeze us into their busy schedule, which was great because we had so much fun with this couple.

We had perfect weather on Saturday for Michael and Christine’s ceremony at St. Hugo’s Chapel and reception at Oakland Hills Country Club in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. Michael and Christine looked like they stepped right out of a magazine. They are the perfect couple and had the perfect wedding day. We shot Christine’s sister Lauren’s wedding a couple years ago, so it was really nice to reconnect with such a warm and wonderful family.

Michael and Christine’s wedding ceremony was held at St. Hugo of the Hills. This is a beautiful Catholic church full of character and amazing architecture.

Their reception was held in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan at Oakland Hills Country Club. Oakland Hills’ South golf course was designed by Donald Ross, the foremost golf course architect of his day.

Founded in 1916, Oakland Hills Country Club has, and will continue to play a significant role in the history of golf in the United States. Walter Hagen, five time PGA Champion, was the club’s first head professional. The South Course has played host to 16 Major Championships including: six U.S. Opens; two U.S. Senior Opens; U.S. Women’s Amateur; U.S. Men’s Amateur; Western Open; the Carling World Open; the 35th Ryder Cup in 2004; and three PGA Championships — including the 90th PGA Championship in 2008. Some of the greatest players ever to play the game including Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, and Ben Hogan have competed and won on the famed South Course, also known as “The Monster”. The membership is proud of the heritage of their club and consider themselves stewards of a national golf treasure.

Michael and Christine are both University of Michigan graduates… which explains the picture below! GO BLUE!

This morning’s service at Kensington Orion was very emotional for a lot of people. This past week, volunteers from the Orion campus took on an extreme home makeover project and spent one week building a house from the ground up for a family in Pontiac. This past Saturday was the big reveal and today the Banta family was introduced.
Following that were a number of baptisms which is a public gesture of people making the choice to follow Christ. Going into the water is symbolic of washing away the old and welcoming in the new.

We shot Jenese and Terrell’s engagement pictures in downtown Detroit, Michigan on a sunny but extremely windy day on the Dequindre cut!

The Dequindre Cut Greenway is an urban recreational path, officially opened to the public in May of 2009. The 1.35-mile greenway, developed through a public, nonprofit and private partnership, offers a pedestrian link between the Riverfront, Eastern Market and many of the residential neighborhoods in between.

Terrell and Jenese are a lot of fun and easy to work with; we had a lot of laughs throughout the shoot, which is great because it makes everyone relaxed and makes the time go by quickly.

We shot Joel and Carol’s engagement shoot on an absolutely beautiful morning at Van Hoosen Farms in Rochester Hills, Michigan. It was warm and sunny and the conversation was great. Joel and Carol are very easy-going and kind people. We can’t wait to shoot their wedding this summer and document the next chapter of their lives together.

We shot Grayson’s seven month pictures at our studio in Rochester Hills, MI. You might remember him from his newborn photo shoot, which can be seen here. Grayson is such a sweet, good-natured, adorably chubby baby boy! He was full of smiles and laughs and he loved playing with balloons and bubbles.
