Wendy is getting ready to have her first child, what is more life-changing and exciting than that? Not much, I’d venture to say. Chris had fallen in love with the Light and Shadow style we do so because she loves him so much we got to spend an afternoon with them.

We loved having the chance to document such a beautiful moment in a families’ life like this.
Thank you guys for your trust for us and huge love for each other – you’ll be such sweet parents and even sweeter married people!

The Addington’s signed up for our Baby Plan which is 3 photo shoots that span a year’s time for their cute little man, Grayson. They have become out-of-town clients since that first baby photo shoot but they are amazing people and we really loved working with them. I’m a little sad the year is over but so glad to be able to provide a year’s worth of great photography for their son!

His first shoot was sooo tough, he was very good at crying; his second session was far better (phew) and then this photo session we got to do!
Thanks for making it back into town to see us, Grayson – I know it’s a possible long shot but I hope we get to see you again one day.

So in 2010, we did amazing wedding photography for Dereck and Julia. If you visit the link you will see they looked stunning and let us do some great shots.
A couple years pass along and Dereck and Julia have a baby…drumroll please – welcome to the world (and your first baby photography session!) Xzavier! If you are me, and you are meeting him for the first time you would have your eyes closed to not notice this kids’ head of hair! Holy smokes is he cute.
Then you would realize, it couldn’t be more clear that I’m looking at exactly half and half Dereck and Julia’s son. That is an amazing family resemblance! Seriously though, having the blessing of doing cute baby photography means you get to meet cute babies. He was so sweet and good, he gets the award for the easiest and smoothest baby photo session we have taken yet. We often have to plan way more time to account for feeding or crying or…pooping! We thought at one point he might let it out but mom and dad assured us it was just gas, haha.

Thanks for the laughs, Xzavier. You were super fun to hang out with. We know you weren’t keen on the furry blanket on your tummy but you knocked this baby photo session out of the park!
