This morning I got to photograph a book signing. A local Michigan resident and talented author Erika Roman Saint-Pierre recently released a new children’s story called Hoppa’s Big Move. All proceeds of this book are being donated to Culuratti Kids.

This afternoon we did some head shots for Rebecca. Rebecca Kiessling is a family law attorney and international pro-life speaker, having been conceived in rape and nearly aborted at two-back alley abortionists. She shares her story at pregnancy center banquets, pro-life fundraisers and rallies, universities, high school assemblies and churches. Rebecca is the author of the Heritage House ‘76 pamphlet, “Conceived in Rape: A Story of Hope” and her story is available on DVD — “Conceived in Rape: From Worthless to Priceless.” She is also the “poster child” for Feminist’s For Life’s ad, “Did I Deserve the Death Penalty?”
You can check out her website at http://www.rebeccakiessling.com

Rebecca needed some shots of her speaking. Since we weren’t at one of her speaking engagements to be able to photograph her, we staged it in the studio and combining her acting training with our lighting skills, we pulled of a look that should work great for her.

This afternoon we got together with Sydney to do some head shots to help her acting career. I’ve known Sydney since we lived on the same hall freshman year of college. We got reconnected when Cheridy and I shot her wedding last year. She is a woman of many talents. In college I remember her being an accomplished musician and now she is working full time as a lawyer. Since she has so much free time (just kidding), she decided to take up acting when the movie industry started coming to Detroit. Just in the last year, she already participated in 7 movies. 3 of those she was a stand-in and 4 of them she was an extra and has got to work on some really cool movies with the likes of Toni Braxton, Al Pacino, David Schwimmer, and Clive Owen. Now she’s ready to move past being an extra and is ready to take on speaking roles.
Go Syd!!!

This morning, I headed out to the Henry Ford Museum to do a last minute photo shoot for them. They are being honored with a write-up in the Michigan Meetings and Events Magazine and needed some photos of some of their food dishes.
The dishes looked quite tasty!!

Our friends at Mackey, Komara, and Dankovich are involved in doing some fund raising for Leader Dogs for the Blind. They needed a last minute ad to put in the Leader Dog’s magazine so we came up with a cool idea and did the shoot with the three guys and one of the dogs. It was a fun and different project and we always enjoy hanging out and laughing with those guys. If anyone needs financial advisors, Joe, Mike, and John at MKD Wealth Coach are some of the nicest and most trustworthy people we know.

We had a really fun and different project recently. There is a great local organization called NACE (National Association of Catering Executives) . They are doing their annual awards banquet and throwing in a bit of a murder mystery element to it.
We had to take some of the board members and make them look like murder suspects which was pretty odd considering how these people are all respected business owners. We had a blast doing these photos because they were all REALLY good sports about it!!

This morning we were able to help out for a project at church. 15 leaders from the 5 Kensington Church campuses came out for some fun head shots today. They are in charge of leading and teaching the students. We’re looking forward to seeing the service to see what they do with the pics.

This afternoon we met up with Sue Keels who is the Director of Catering at the Royal Park Hotel which is one of the most incredible wedding venues in Michigan. She set up a photo shoot with us to take some head shots of her and her team. We photograph a lot of high end weddings at the Royal Park so it was nice to be able to go there and take these pictures for them.
We’re super excited to head back there soon and enjoy the best Sunday brunch in town!!
Here’s a pic of Sue:

This morning I was doing a commercial shoot out at Shephard’s Hollow Golf Club to get them some images for their website and marketing materials.
It was an incredible gloomy and rainy day so I had to do a bit of photoshoppery to make it look less nasty outside!

Billie needed some head shots for her new dermatology position so she came in and hung out with us for a little while this afternoon. She’s one of the friendliest people we’ve ever met. Our son Mayz didn’t have a babysitter while we were doing the shoot today so he hung out with us for a little while and he just wanted to hug Billie the whole time.
