last week we did an extensive commercial shoot for NORMA Group in Auburn Hills, MI. NORMA Group specializes in Engineered Joining Technologies and their applications know-how make cleaner, more efficient use of precious energy sources in areas such as Cooling System, Air Intake & Induction, Emission Control, Ancillary System and Infrastructure. The brochure and advertisement photos we took for them showcase the people and places at the center of NORMA group, which operates all over the globe.

It was a beautiful morning when we met up with the guys at MKD Wealth Coach at the Oakhurst Golf & Country Club in Clarkston, MI for a special event. The golf outing was a skills challenge that included putting, chipping, and driving and provided a great opportunity for networking.

Our friends at MKD Wealth Coach had their annual half time report hosted at the amazing Royal Park Hotel.
There were strolling hor d’oeuvres along with very unique entertainment; they had an incredible artist create a painting in 30 minutes. The painting depicted a bull and a bear to signify varying stock market conditions. This was followed by Mike Komara sharing MKDs industry perspective to a large crowd of around 160 people.

Our friends at MKD, an innovative wealth growth and management company in Auburn Hills, MI, hold social events throughout the year that provide opportunities for education, networking, or just fun.
This recent event was held at the serene Hunters Creek in Metamora, MI. What a perfect evening for great food, friends, and conversation!

More corporate photography in southeast MI

We were privileged to be able to photograph the 2010 Best of the Industry Awards for Michigan Meetings and Events Magazine for the Henry Ford. The event was held inside the Henry Ford Museum and everything was impeccable! Many of our friends within the industry were being honored that night; What great company we keep! The grand and unique venue was perfect for celebrating the best of the best in event planning.

Yesterday we had a fun photo shoot with Father Phil Ching at St. Lawrence Parish in Utica, MI. He’s being featured in the Knights of Columbus magazine for their June issue and they needed some photos of him in his environment. Father Ching is a super laid back guy who is the type of person that makes everyone feel welcomed from the first time he smiles and laughs.

Earlier this week we had the chance to photograph our good friends at MKD Wealth Coach – Mike Komara, Joe Mackey, and John Dankovich are the three partners.
We know them both in a professional sense and on a personal level and have a longstanding relationship with their company and families.

They are being honored with a feature in Forbes magazine so that was the reason for this photo shoot.

This evening, Cheridy and I had the great opportunity of photographing the Tchaikovsky Ballet at the Opera House in downtown Detroit. The performance was Sleeping Beauty and it was fantastic! All the movement was so smooth and grateful. We’re so used to just watching TV and spending time at home, it was nice to get out and do something totally different.
We also got to enjoy an awesome dinner at the Cadillac Opera Cafe that’s inside the Opera House.
What a great evening!!

This morning I got to photograph a book signing. A local Michigan resident and talented author Erika Roman Saint-Pierre recently released a new children’s story called Hoppa’s Big Move. All proceeds of this book are being donated to Culuratti Kids.

This afternoon we did some head shots for Rebecca. Rebecca Kiessling is a family law attorney and international pro-life speaker, having been conceived in rape and nearly aborted at two-back alley abortionists. She shares her story at pregnancy center banquets, pro-life fundraisers and rallies, universities, high school assemblies and churches. Rebecca is the author of the Heritage House ’76 pamphlet, “Conceived in Rape: A Story of Hope” and her story is available on DVD — “Conceived in Rape: From Worthless to Priceless.” She is also the “poster child” for Feminist’s For Life’s ad, “Did I Deserve the Death Penalty?”

Rebecca needed some shots of her speaking. Since we weren’t at one of her speaking engagements to be able to photograph her, we staged it in the studio and combining her acting training with our lighting skills, we pulled of a look that should work great for her.

This afternoon we got together with Sydney to do some head shots to help her acting career. I’ve known Sydney since we lived on the same hall freshman year of college. We got reconnected when Cheridy and I shot her wedding last year. She is a woman of many talents. In college I remember her being an accomplished musician and now she is working full time as a lawyer. Since she has so much free time (just kidding), she decided to take up acting when the movie industry started coming to Detroit. Just in the last year, she already participated in 7 movies. 3 of those she was a stand-in and 4 of them she was an extra and has got to work on some really cool movies with the likes of Toni Braxton, Al Pacino, David Schwimmer, and Clive Owen. Now she’s ready to move past being an extra and is ready to take on speaking roles.
