Yesterday we took engagement photos for Matt & Lidia, a sophisticated couple whose wedding we will be shooting this coming fall. The two met at a bar in Royal Oak, so it was great to take pictures of them together outside of the building where it all began! They are still local to the area and enjoy wining and dining around town.
Last week we took engagement photos for Adam & Alina, yet another hot couple! Adam was the cool guy and Alina was super fun and bubbly. She was actually friends with Adam’s mom, who then set them up and sparks flew. Mom knows best! We are excited to be the photographers for their fall wedding!
Kevin and Fanchon’s recent engagement shoot started with rain, but a little weather setback stood no chance of dampening this dynamic couples’ spirits! Thankfully the clouds opened up within minutes and we got many terrific shots! You can see the love and laughs all over their faces; We definitely look forward to photographing their fall wedding later this year. We also want to congratulate Fanchon who is scheduled to debut as an anchor of the 10 p.m. news on Fox59 in Indianapolis on July 6. We’re rooting for you!
Last week we did an amazing engagement shoot with an Ann Arbor couple, Todd and Chelsea. It was a HOT day but they were cool, calm and collected, total pros! We got lots of edgy and stylish shots, which definitely reflect their personalities. The other star of the shoot was Todd’s 1971 Chevelle. They had rented a really cool warehouse for the day, which was a perfect location for this beautiful car.
The graffiti alley made for stellar shots!
Paul and Sandy had their engagement shoot yesterday at Van Hoosen farms. What a hot couple! Paul plays hockey for the NHL and both of them brought major style. Love the shades! We’ll be seeing more of Paul & Sandy very soon as their wedding is right around the corner in July.
Dereck and Julia (who are getting married this August) had their engagement shoot just the other day. We thought it might get rained out, but lo and behold, the bad weather held off! There were lots of laughs on this shoot and we can’t wait to keep it going on their wedding day.
Last week we had a great time shooting photos with Rob and Lauren. They have a lot of fun together and definitely had a lot of laughs which made the photos look really casual and natural.
We’re looking forward to shooting their wedding later this year!!

The Detroit Opera House is summed up by the words “classic elegance.” The decor is exquisite and the theater which turns into the ballroom is very spacious and extravagant. Last year we photographed Bessie and Sina’s wedding there and our jaws dropped when we walked in and saw the room. It was magnificent! I love the spotlights through the auditorium that provided really unique lighting on the whole venue.
Walking through the hallways and seeing the stunning chandeliers made us realize that we were a part of something really special!
The event we photographed their in 2009 was on the same night as a Detroit Tigers game. Comerica Park is right across the street and it made driving and parking very difficult and confusing for a lot of the guests so make sure to check the schedules and have a plan in place in the event of a game.
We loved the open feel to the room and the food was terrific!
Since it’s downtown, there are lots of neat places to go to get some of the most creative wedding photos you’ve ever seen!!
Today we spent a rainy afternoon with Justin and Melissa doing a studio engagement shoot with them.
Whenever we shoot we try to do things a little bit differently so while in studio today we experimented with different backgrounds and different use of light/poses to get unique photos.

We had a beautiful fall morning to photograph Eric and Jackie today. There was definitely a lot of laughing and goofing around as we walked around the downtown Rochester, MI area for their engagement pictures.

This afternoon we have a fantastic engagement shoot with Sam and Angela in their home town of Grosse Pointe. This was our first time doing a photo shoot in the downtown area and there were lots of great places to get some cool pics. It’s always energizing to come home after a great shoot that was filled with lots of laughs and great pics!

This afternoon we took engagement portraits for Scott and Jen in downtown Rochester, MI.
We were grateful to have been able to take advantage of the incredible weather for the photo shoot. We usually only do engagement photos for couples who’s weddings we’re shooting but Scott and Jen are having a destination wedding at a resort in Mexico that force you to use the resort photographer so we were glad to be able to at least do their engagement pics.
