We had the perfect day to shoot photos with Keith and Sarah at our farm studio in Lake Orion. The tall grass made for a romantic setting for engagement pictures and the colors of the green grass, blue sky, and red barns made for some incredible photo ops.

This past weekend we got to meet up with Michael and Christine. Christine is the sister of Lauren who’s wedding we photographed last summer. One of our favorite things is getting to work with repeat clients because the relationship and trust is already there with the family. It was great for us to get to know Michael and Christine better and we can’t wait for their wedding next year!!
Last week we had the opportunity to get together with Alan and Rosanna for their engagement photo shoot. The engagement shoot always helps to give us the opportunity to get to know couples before the wedding along with giving them a chance to get comfortable being in front of the camera.
Alan thought he was going to be camera shy but he handled it like a pro!!
This weekend we had the pleasure of working with Todd and Mandy and doing a some fun pics in downtown Birmingham.
Todd is battling cancer but he’s one of the most upbeat and positive people that we’ve ever met. You can tell that if anyone can beat it…it will be him!
Todd and Mandy were so easy going that the photos flowed with ease!
Yesterday afternoon we had a great shoot with Holly and Nick for their engagement session. They had access to an old 1970 Challenger which made for some cool photos.
2010 was an amazing year for us and I put together a collection of images shot throughout the year that includes photos and paintings from weddings, landscapes, babies, high school seniors, etc.
These images were created through a lot of hard work, but we feel blessed to have been a part of all these things and hope you enjoy this video slideshow.
Yesterday morning we met up with Jim and Beth to do engagement photos. It was bitter cold; 20 degrees, 5 degrees when you count the wind!!
They were troopers and even had their jackets off for most of the photos…not bad for people from Washington state where it’s never this cold outside!
Last week we took some stylish urban engagement photos for Brandon & Sarah at their home in Birmingham, MI as well as in the downtown area nearby. Sarah had the fun creative idea to get some 1950′s style shots of the two of them at the dining room table with Brandon reading the newspaper and Sarah serving up a perfect apple pie! What great style this couple has! Photographing their 2011 wedding should be just as memorable.

We recently had the pleasure of working with Ben and Jen from Grosse Pointe, MI to capture some artistic and fun engagement photos in the downtown Birmingham area. The weather was downright cold but these two had sunny smiles and personalities! The friendly couple laughed and smiled as they garnered a bit of attention from passerby during the shoot. More good times are promised when we photograph their 2011 wedding!
A few weeks ago we had the pleasure of working with Steve & Julie to get some great outdoor engagement photos in the metro detroit area. Their super friendly and laid back personalities made the shoot easy and fun. They were even up for some silly hat photos. Love the moose! We eagerly await photographing their wedding next fall.
Our festive outdoor autumn engagement picture shoot for Peter and Erica from Troy, MI was done on an extremely windy day at Meadowbrook mansion. Peter and Erica were laid back about the troublesome weather, but we ultimately decided to meet up a few days later for a re-shoot. Just as we started the re-shoot, more issues were afoot; the police and fire department arrived on the scene! Due to an alarm going off, we could not shoot near the building! With plenty of other great settings it was no problem finding alternate areas of interest. Peter and Erica are really friendly and easy to work with so we’re glad we could finally capture some awesome shots for them. We are happy to be photographing their September 2011 wedding as well!!
Our outdoor engagement picture shoot with Brandon and Adrianne last week took place on the beautiful grounds of Cranbrook in Michigan. Adrianne has an art degree and wanted to capture the creative and stunning architecture, statues, and gardens of the location, and we happily agreed. It was great working with these two, they both have lighthearted and cheerful demeanors that made the shoot a breeze! We look forward to shooting their wedding next November.
