Ivy is the first baby to complete our one year baby plan. Take a look at her previous shoots… maternity, newborn, and six months. We took Ivy’s one year photos at her house in Lake Angelus, Michigan. She was pretty funny because she was very ornery one minute and then smiling and talking the next minute. It was a little bittersweet knowing that this was the last time we would photograph baby Ivy… however, I’m sure we’ll do more family pictures with the DeClaire’s in the near future! ;-)

We shot the Skidmore’s family photography at the farm house in Orion, Michigan. Ana is the principal event planner for twofoot creative, and we’re working with her on an upcoming wedding. So it was nice to have some face time with her and develop a rapport.

This is the fourth shoot we’ve done with the O’connors, which is very cool because we’re capturing Fallon’s childhood, year by year. We shot their family pictures at the farm house in Lake Orion, Michigan on real chilly November morning. Fallon’s teeth were chattering the whole time, but she was able to pull off her adorable smile for every picture and was trooper throughout the entire shoot.

We shot Darian’s baby shoot at the farm house in Orion, Michigan… and what a joy it was! She is an adorable baby, who’s also super photogenic and extremely happy. Also, her parents are just the nicest people, so this photo shoot was a lot of fun and a great experience.

What a wonderful family shoot at Cranbrook in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. The Kennedy’s are warm, joyous people who are super close and SO much fun to be around! We really had a blast working with them, I was sad when the shoot ended! We shot Kathleen’s senior pictures at the farm in Orion, Michigan back in June, and it was awesome to meet the rest of the family!!

We had an absolutely beautiful fall day when we shot the Kozlowski’s family shoot at the farm in Orion, Michigan. It was a lovely day, however the wind was crazy strong, I thought the reflector was going to set sail with me attached to it! This was a large family shoot with lots of frivolity and joking around, you could tell how close they were by just watching them interact. Prem and Cheridy shot Josh and Amanda’s wedding at Addison Oaks two years ago, and now they’re expecting their first child!

This was one of the nicest and most gracious families we’ve ever shot. We did their family pictures in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan overlooking the gorgeous Wing Lake. They kept trying to feed us and get us to drink water and made us feel so welcome and loved! The Bedi’s did casual everyday outfits as well as Indian outfits made by the amazing Mira Bedi. This was such a warm and nice family, we absolutely loved doing this photo shoot with them!

This was such a fun family picture shoot at Cranbrook Kingswood in Bloomfield Hills, MI! The children were super close and sweet with each other. Jacob is such a good older brother and was always looking out for his little sister Lauren. Christa and Rob were totally awesome, easy to work with and the whole family was easy to photograph… it helped that they are all super attractive and very well-dressed too. It looked like they had just walked off of a Gap Ad shoot. I was a little sad when this shoot ended because I clicked really well with the kids and the whole family was really fun to be around.

You would never know by looking at the pictures that it was raining the entire shoot. The Kaushal’s live about an hour away and it did not start raining until we pulled into a parking lot in downtown Rochester, MI. So we all made a conclusive decision to go ahead with the shoot, I mean a little rain never hurt anybody, right? I’m so glad we continued because we got some great photos of the family! And they were all so into it, rain and all!

Awesome day, awesome family. That’s the first thing that comes to mind when thinking about the Gratsch family shoot at the farmhouse. The kids were SO good and they were great at following direction and were just super sweet and easy to work with. They loved being on the farm, especially playing on the tire swing! The kids attitudes definitely reflected their parents, who are both just the nicest and most gracious people… We really enjoyed working with them!

I love downtown Birmingham, so we were very excited about going to St. James Park in downtown Birmingham, Mi to do a family shoot for the Simon’s. Their son Blake was being a little shy at first but then he warmed up quickly and we were able to get some great shots of him playing with his mom and dad.

Working with Andrea and Andy Zielinsky again was so much fun, we shot their wedding five years ago at Pine Knob Carriage House http://arisingimages.com/blog/zielinsky-wedding/69/ and now we had the pleasure of shooting their one year old son, Adam. We went to the farm house on a day that started off with rain and wind and ended up being a gorgeous sunny afternoon… a day great for pictures.

Adam’s favorite line of the day was, “Ahhh Boooooom!!!” This picture captured one of those precious moments, when he stumbled and said his infamous line.
