Michigan wedding and portrait photography
Yesterday we got to hang out with our good friends the Cesario’s. We’ve known them for years and unfortunately don’t get to see them as often as we would like. Our kids and their kids had a riot together and while they were here, we got the chance to do some pics of their children.
I have had to keep this family photo session under wraps so I didn’t ruin any Holiday card fun but now I get to share. We have had so much fun doing photos for the Mackeys but for some reason this year’s Christmas Card photo shoot was my favorite!
And it’s been amazing to watch the family grow up – another cool thing about our job.
And could you have a better group of kids who totally participate in their parents’ crazy antics?? I think not!!
If you had 3 boys who were 6, 10 and 13, what would YOU do for their photo shoot? Well here’s what we got to do. Get them to act like “them”! And they have a mom who can honor that and NOT make them get turtle neck sweaters and pose it out. Instead, she found an amazing way to find their personalities, look good AND casual. Add smoke and you’ve got a sweet shot!!

Have you ever worked with someone for a while and you know they have become friends of yours, to some degree? That’s what I feel like has happened with this family. Amber has been someone I’ve always wanted to hang out with, ever since we shot their wedding in 2005!
We had the opportunity to shoot their first daughter ever since she wasn’t even with us yet! We have had the chance to document the girls growing up and now the little sister gets a blog post herself. Scarlett is growing up so fast already, ummm can you say beautiful baby photos of a beautiful little girl?!
We had the pleasure of photographing a couple cute kids a few years ago (7 to be exact!)
When we got the phone call from mom saying ‘I need pics of my kids, it’s been too long’ first I was so glad to hear from her (she’s an amazing bundle of kindness and energy!) and then I did the math…was it really THAT long?? Well, they have one more kid than they did before and they definitely grew up.
What a group of cute and funny kids. They were all about jumping and silliness and if I have anything to do with it, that’s the kind of fun we will have the whole time. But even aside from that – super well behaved individuals. Thank you guys for letting us enjoy the fall color a little longer and the beauty of being Michigan family photographers once more.
