We recently photographed children at the Grace Centers of Hope in Pontiac, MI in order to help them create their 2011 Calendar with proceeds benefiting those in need. Grace Centers of Hope is a non-profit Christian organization committed to positively changing the lives of the homeless, addicted and unwanted through the Gospel of Jesus Christ, personal accountability, life skills education and work-related programs. The organization also has several thrift store locations where you can donate or shop.

Sisters Katie & Colleen came to our studio today for some fun pictures before they both go away to college. Katie is a current student at Grand Valley State University and Colleen will be starting there in the fall. We’ve taken senior photos for both girls too so it was great to see them again!

It was supposed to storm the day we went over to the Schmidt’s house for a family photo shoot, but we were lucky enough to see great weather instead. This super kind and friendly bunch was a lot of fun to shoot. With three kids and an infant running around the energy was very lively. We even got to help catch frogs!

On Monday morning we had the opportunity to get together with our friends Ralph and Devon and photograph them with their little baby Jaia. We shot their wedding two years ago, and did baby pics with Jaia last year as well. She is a super cute little girl who was really easy to take fun kids photos for.

A few days ago we had a really fun photo shoot with little Caitlin. She was really adorable with a great mix of shy and playful.
Caitlin had a lot of fun riding around on her scooter and occasionally looking up at the camera with her shy little smile.

Last week we had an incredible photo shoot with the Barnes family. Their girls were ridiculously adorable with their little pink dresses.
When we do kids photography, we love to let the kids run and play and do what they do while we can capture really natural and fun pictures of them.
These girls definitely had a blast!!

We recently did a studio shoot for the Michaels Kids. Little Johnny was a riot…he wanted to have no part of hanging out with his big brothers.
We spent an hour chasing him all over the place!!

Recently we photographed the Crocenzi family at their Rochester Hills home. We wanted to do a mixture of a traditional family portrait along with a modern family portrait. I ended up doing a painting of the more traditional family picture as well.

We recently had a really fun kids shoot. Brayden wanted NO part of getting photos taken and right when we were about done, it’s like he turned on like a light bulb and just starting running. It was great!!! Skylar on the other hand wanted to smile for the camera ALL the time, she was super cute!

Family portraits don’t always need to be mom, dad, and kids. For many people, their dogs are a super important part of their family so there is no reason not to do some dog portraits as well.
We had a great time photographing the Kellys. Teddy (the white dog) was running all over the yard and he’s such a big and floppy dog, it was fun doing photos of him.

Today we got to see the Shah family again. We photographed the boys last year and this year we took a few studio shots of the whole family.
When we photographed them last year, Aren who is the older brother was all over the place while Deven was calm and mellow. Things definitely changed in a year. This time Aren was a perfect little angel and Deven wanted to run all around. It’s so cool to see personalities shift and develop as kids grow!!
