Atika’s high school senior picture shoot was fun and different because her photos were shot in two different locations. Her contemporary outfits were taken in downtown Auburn Hills, MI and her traditional Indian outfit was taken here at our studio in Rochester Hills, Michigan. Atika’s Sari was absolutely exquisite… I’m always amazed with the amount of hard work and intricate detail that goes into designing and creating Indian Saris.

We had a real good time shooting Uthara’s high school senior pictures in downtown Auburn Hills, Michigan. I’ve been in contact with her since June, so finally meeting her was sort of surreal! Uthara attends International Academy high school, and is a very mature and nice girl.

Nick had his high school senior pictures taken at the farm house in Orion, MI. He’s another one of our Walled Lake Central seniors and is kept quite busy with soccer and golf. When I think of Nick, the first thing that pops into my head is how nice he is and his big, infectious smile.

We shot Sarah’s senior pictures on Oakland University’s campus and then went over to downtown Auburn Hills, MI to finish them off. We were a little nervous about the weather because there was a HUGE storm about fifteen minutes prior to the scheduled shoot time. But it past quickly and we were able to go out to an open field and get some of the best sky shots we’ve ever gotten. Sarah was very well-spoken and also super nice and easy to be around. Conversation flowed easily, which made the time fly and the shoot enjoyable.

We shot Mishell’s high school senior pictures at the farmhouse in Oakland County, MI. She is originally from Guatemala and was adopted five years ago and has been here in the US ever since. Mishell is very sweet and shy, but was confident in voicing her opinions about her photo ideas. Probably because she’s an artist and had a clear vision of what she wanted! I loved working with her because you’re reminded of where she came from and how far she’s come in those five years… It’s truly an inspiration.

John’s high school senior pictures were shot at our farmhouse in Orion, Michigan. John was very nice and quiet… he was also very funny in a dry, low-key sort of way. We were excited to shoot another Walled Lake Central senior, because they have all been great to work with and their senior photos have always been easy to shoot. I also have to give a shout out to John’s mom, Cynthia- who is one of the NICEST women I have ever met and someone that I get super excited about, when I know I’m going to see her.

John plays the viola, and in this shot he was actually serenading us with some classic tunes…

Oh how I loved this girl! First off, she was the easiest person to photograph, because she was so good at doing both serious and happy faces. And it was kinda helpful that she was drop-dead gorgeous. Candyce was so nice and fun and just lovely! I could gush about her all day long… We shot her high school senior pictures at the Village of Rochester, which created great and unique backdrops for a great and unique girl!!

We shot Maura’s senior pictures at the farmhouse in Orion, MI, which was great because she is a horse back rider, so being on a farm is second nature to her! Maura is a super sweet, nice girl, who’s very easy to be around.

Aren’t her boots the coolest?! I kept threatening to steal them when she wasn’t looking!

Oh yeah, and this dress was gorgeous! I was pretty much telling Maura I was gonna steal her dress and boots the whole time. But she’s a sweetheart- so I don’t think she minded =)

I’m just gonna say that we’ve been really blessed with awesome seniors this year. And Marlee was no exception… she was the best. She’s a student at Cranbrook, so we shot her senior pictures on the grounds there. Marlee is exceptionally smart, poised and mature for her age… and super sweet and funny. We had a great time walking around Cranbrook, telling stories and talking about her future after Cranbrook.

Meghan was so awesome! We shot her senior pictures at the Lake Orion, MI farmhouse, for a more down to earth feel. Meghan is such a tomboy in real life and then you get her in front of the camera and she turns into this supermodel, who knows exactly how to work the camera! She was so much fun to be around and an absolute joy to shoot! I would really like to work with her again, if we ever got the chance… maybe a family shoot?? =)

Cranbrook is such an amazingly, beautiful place. I had never been there before and then in one week we had three shoots there! And, still there was so much more exploring I wanted to do. So when Connor’s mom asked us to capture a “sense of place” with Conner’s pictures… I could definitely see why. We shot his senior pictures at Cranbrook, in a way that represented Connor as an individual and also showcased the essence of Cranbrook.

We shot Sydnee’s senior pictures at Cranbrook in Bloomfield Hills, Mi because she absolutely loves the campus, and can you blame her? Cranbrook is quite a magical place. I really enjoyed working with Sydnee because she was such a sweetheart, and soft spoken, but she was very opinionated in a good, subtle way… maybe opinionated is too harsh of a word, Syd just knew what she wanted! She’s also been a figure skater for years, so she really wanted to get some good, artistic pictures with her skates.
