Tyler was so cool. He was such a nice, chill guy. He’s quite the athlete too, football and baseball. I think that must be why he was so great at following direction without hesitation. We sometimes have to ask our clients to do silly things to make the picture better, it feels weird but in the photo it will look totally fine. So we had him do some goofy things, and he didn’t even bat an eye… he just did it! It was so great!

First off I cannot say enough good things about Jordyn; she’s so mature and nice and funny… right after we were done working with her I said to Prem, “Wow… days like these make me love my job.” Not only was Jordyn super awesome, her mom Bev was super delightful and fun to be around. We shot Jordyn’s High school senior pictures at the Village of Rochester, which was pretty fantastic because everything is in close proximity and everywhere you turn there’s another cool background to work against.
Jordyn brought these crazy high heels, that were super chic and cute… but extremely hard to walk in! They were sort of the running joke of the day, so we had to take a picture that made the cumbersome shoes, the center of attention.
Aww, so cute!

We had a great time with Bethany for her senior photo shoot at the farmhouse in Orion, MI. She’s a very intelligent, insightful and confident young woman. We bonded over Harry Potter books, various movies and TV shows and all sorts of actors, which is a great way to get to know somebody in a short amount of time! Bethany was a pro at modeling for her senior pictures too; she was real fun and comfortable in front of the camera… such a joy to shoot!

We shot high school senior Drew at the Orion, Mi farm house. Drew is a very talented artist so we were excited about doing some edgy shots with him at the farmhouse. We really love when seniors incorporate their hobbies into their senior photos because it gives a great representation of who they are as individuals.
Drew was finishing up one of his beautiful drawings here… I really wanted him to draw me a sweet new picture but I guess he was a little preoccupied at the moment. Oh well.
We were so happy when the clouds broke and revealed a beautiful blue sky with picturesque white clouds. Especially because Drew’s mom Susan really, really, wanted one of these shots! And she got it, yaaaaayyy!!!

Kathleen is such a sweet girl with some sassy flare! We were teasing her about having perfect hair and perfect teeth… teasing, but being completely serious at the same time! Kathleen is an avid golfer, so we decided to shoot her senior pictures in Orion, Michigan at the farmhouse, where there is a huge open field… A field good for swinging a club on!

We recently had the chance to photograph Erik. He is a multi-talented guy and probably one of the most easy going senior guys that we’ve ever photographed. Erik was actually one of our senior models for our promo video that we made recently. Erik can pull off the serious look but he also has a million dollar smile that he could turn on whenever asked.
Last week we got to meet Steven who is a super nice guy. We did some fun outdoor pics with Steven and also had the chance to take some cool senior photos with him playing his saxophone.
A few months ago we got to do head shots for his mom Lori who I’ve know for a long time. It’s so nice to get to work with great families! We can’t wait to photograph Steven’s sister!!
Caleb is Cheridy’s nephew. He’s also an incredible guy with a personality that makes everyone smile. Caleb was one of our model reps for the commercial we shot last month and we were really glad to have him there because he kept everything fun with his sense of humor. He is one of those guys that can do everything and we’re super proud of him for landing a movie role. I won’t give away details in case it’s still a secret.
Nina was one of our senior reps that was in our new Arising Images high school senior photo commercial. Nina was the perfect subject because she is comfortable being in front of the camera, she takes direction really well and she is really outgoing and easy to get along with.

This past month we have been working on a super fun project. We were creating our very first commercial which was shot by Lee Thomas from Lee Thomas Films.
We had a group of 6 high school senior models and spent an evening at our farm studio shooting pics and video.
Lee did an unbelievable job putting the clip together so we owe him huge props!!!

Recently we had the pleasure of doing high school senior photos with Shivani who is a gifted young woman. We wish her luck as she heads off to MIT in the fall!!
2010 was an amazing year for us and I put together a collection of images shot throughout the year that includes photos and paintings from weddings, landscapes, babies, high school seniors, etc.
These images were created through a lot of hard work, but we feel blessed to have been a part of all these things and hope you enjoy this video slideshow.
