This is Cheridy’s first Mothers Day with our little guy.  She was pretty excited to show him off with his UGG boots.

Today Cheridy and I took Mayzor the Rayzor out to Stoney Creek park and hung out for a little while to get outside and enjoy the nice weather.
We had our video camera with us and it has a still camera built into it so we just took a couple.  It’s not the best camera, but it’s easier than carrying one of our big cameras around.

This afternoon, we went to visit with our friends at Luigi Bruni Salon in Birmingham, MI. They did Mayz’ first haircut for us and man was it ever cute. The staff of the salon is super friendly with nothing but smiles. We love those guys!! Thanks to Jaime for setting this up for us and to Josie for doing an awesome job on the haircut, we had a great time!!

Check out this cute kid…he was a champion in the chair!! Hopefully now people will think he’s a boy and not a girl!!

He was feeling so cool and stylish after getting his haircut that he decided to hit the town and go do some shots!
Unfortunately he didn’t realize that shots meant immunizations and that wasn’t fun…he’s still hurting a little bit…. ouch!! Sorry buddy!!

Despite the weather and road issues, we still had some good family time in Colorado.

On the way back to the airport, we found a little stop on the side of the highway with a little river so we stopped so Mayz could see the water and we took a couple pics with him.

We have NO idea where Mayz got his crazy hair from. I guess it will just remain a mystery!!

So Mayz just has the craziest baby hair ever!!
Cheridy thinks it’s time to get it cut, but I’m voting against that because it’s just too darn cute. Please post your thoughts in the comments.
We feel like we haven’t gotten too crazy with taking photos of Mayz, but every week or two we get the camera out and take a couple of fun photos. Here are a couple from this morning.

Actually…we don’t let him watch TV yet just so that he doesn’t get overstimulated, so we paused it just to take these photos.

This morning, I was just reflecting on our lives and we are so thankful for so many things that we’ve been blessed with and I just felt like expressing that.
We have been incredibly blessed to have a fantastic marriage that just grows stronger every day. We have an amazing little boy who is growing bigger and stronger all the time.
We are thankful for our warm home that we have in the winter time that keeps us all cozy and cuddly. We have an amazing church that teaches us about life, love, and serving the less fortunate. We have the best jobs in the world and we get to bring joy to people with what we do. We also get to work from home and have plenty of family time. We have a great network of family and friends that have helped us as we transition into parenthood and learn about our new lifestyle.
I think all the things that I’ve mentioned above are things that many people don’t have. We know we’ve been blessed and appreciate all these things everyday.

Mayz Mukherjee was born on Thanksgiving Day 11-22-2007 at 1:37 pm. He is 8 lbs, 11 oz and 21 inches long.
