This afternoon our Aunt Debbie and Cousin Forrest came over to get Forrest’s senior pics done.

Tonight we did one of our last high school senior sessions of the year. It was a great night to shoot…cool weather and beautiful soft light. Ashley did a great job modeling for us too!

Our chuch (Kensington) just opened a new campus on the east side of town near M-59 and Gratiot at the Armstrong Performing Arts Center. We were expecting a lot of people but there were a LOOOTTTT of people which was awesome!!! For anyone that wants to learn more about Kensington, check out kensingtonchurch.org.

Nancy and Kit were married yesterday at Kensington Community Church which is our home church. Things got a little behind schedule and a bit rushed but we were still able to get some cool pics with them.

Tonight we did some engagement pictures with Matt and Alison. Matt said that he didn’t enjoy having his picture taken, but him and Alison did a great job and were really good together!

This weekend we were up at the Tice cottage again to hang out. Ndumi Mafu was also up there and he’s planning on moving back to South Africa within the next year to start a Christian radio ministry among other things. We wanted to do some pics for Ndumi before he left so while we were at the cottage we took some time to go around and shoot some pics. Here are some of my favorites:

Tonight we had a chance to hang out with our friends the Cesario family. Danny did a lot of work fixing a crack in our basement wall which was really helpful. As partial payment, we did a photo shoot for him and his family which was a lot of fun. They just laughed and giggled for an hour straight. This is what life should be about, what a great example they are.

Dan and Amy were married Saturday evening. After the wedding we went to Heritage Park in Shelby Township and had some time to hang out with them and get some fun pictures. Afterward, they had their reception at Cherry Creek Golf Club.

Saturday night we were driving home from a wedding and we stopped to view the detroit skyline and take some night photos and while we were out there, a fireworks display kicked off in front of cobo hall and we had quite a view!!

This evening we went with the Mackey’s to Halmich Park in Warren and had them play together as a family. There was lots of running, playing, climbing, etc. etc. etc.

Tonight we did pictures of Sarah Twedt at Cranbrook. Sarah is a student there and her dad is on staff so it was really nice to be able to do photos at her school. Sarah was really easy going and a lot of fun to hang out with.

Mladen and Gillian were married at the Beach Grove Golf and Country Club right on Lake St. Clair. Unfortunately the weather was miserable and the rain was blowing sideways right about the time we were supposed to go outside and do pictures. But, it all worked out ok and we were still able to get some fun pictures with them. Mladen was so excited to see Gillian that during the ceremony at the “repeat after me” part, he had to ask the officiant “what?” because he was totally focused on her!!
