Matt and Alison got married in Detroit yesterday. It couldn’t have been a more beautiful day outside!! They got ready in the Renaissance center downtown. There were some amazing photo ops in there, unfortunately things were running very late so we didn’t get a chance to do too much there. The ceremony was held at a church in Indian village and then we headed to Belle Isle to the old Casino where there reception was held.

This evening we did Katie’s senior pics. It was a chilly evening but we were lucky enough to catch the last few rays of the sun.

This afternoon we shot some pictures of one year old Tobin Wendland who is one of the happiest babies we’ve seen in a while. He was having a great old time playing with some of his toys, crawling around on the ground and exploring, etc. One of his favorite things to do was throw up which made it quite necessary to have a few different outfits on hand!!

Just posted a link to see one of our photo mosaics. I used a nifty little tool called Zoomify to make it so you can zoom in/out of the image using the plus and minus keys on the image. Here’s a link to the zoomable image:

Today I took my photography students to the Detroit Zoo. It was a chance for them to get to do some real life shooting and playing with their cameras…adjusting apertures, shutter speeds, ISOs, etc. The weather couldn’t have possibly been more beautiful!! This was truly an amazing fall day…cool breeze, warm sun, and perfect temperatures.
While there, I took a couple of abstract shots that I liked:
