This morning at church, Cheridy was part of the skit and she had to dress like a giant fishing lure and get lowered from the ceiling on ropes. How funny is that!! She was at Kensington’s East campus and the message was about temptation and how certain things look really tempting but lead to something NOT good…such as a fishing lure for the fish.
This was followed by a really powerful drama about a man and a woman at the beginning stages of an affair at their workplace and then a great message from Craig Mayes which discussed the necessity to “bolt” from temptation. To hear a message from a Kensington service (including “Bolt”), click here.
Anyway, here’s a few of pics of Cheridy:

Earlier today we did a photo shoot with Madhavi. She liked the more serious look, but she had an amazing smile, and the smile pics are the ones that turned out to be my favorite.

Today was our annual family photo shoot with Cheridy’s side of the family. We did a few group photos and then spent some time shooting pics of Amber and Matthew (my sister-in-law and her son).

We also did another annual tradition…the “big head” picture:

Aaron is about a month old and he sure had a rough day at the office today!! He wasn’t took keen on having his picture taken, however we were able to capture a few precious moments in there.

A couple days ago, I had the chance to visit a fellow artist named Robin Remick. Robin does some amazing abstract paintings that have some really cool textures and other 3-D details. Her paintings are quite large. The first two images below are 4′x4′ paintings and then the second two images show some of the texture and detail in some of her other work. Robin had me take some photos of her images that she could use on her website. If you like her work, she can be reached at robinre883@aol.com.

Today we got to spend the day with Jeff and Tricia. We had a great time hanging out today and doing their engagement pics. They’ve had a rough year with having their house destroyed by hurricane Katrina to Jeff serving in dangerous parts of Iraq. Jeff and Tricia are actually already married but after eloping the first time, they now want to have their dream wedding.

Yesterday, for the first time ever, Cheridy and I got to be on the other side of the camera lens. We traded photo shoots with our friend Frank Lombardo (you can see his family below). It was really interesting for us to have Frank telling us to do a lot of the same things that we tell our couples to do when we photograph them. It actually really helped us to see what it’s like to be in our client’s shoes.
Thanks for these awesome photos Frank!!

I got a little crazy doing some photoshop work and made a world famous “big head” picture:
