This afternoon we had a fun time doing senior pics for Liz.

Last night we did an engagement session for Rachel and Ken in downtown Utica:

Yesterday, Eric and Beth had an amazing wedding at the Gross Pointe War Memorial.

Stephen and Kimberlee got married outdoors by the senior cabins on the grounds at Cranbrook. They did everything about their wedding THEIR way and it made for a really enjoyable day for them.

The winner of our 2007 summer contest is Ann Wilson and family. We had 23 entries and it was definitely hard to choose. Congrats Wilsons!! We’re looking forward to doing your photo shoot.
I will not be releasing the details of the photo shoot that they will be doing…that’s going to stay a secret, but I will be sure to post lots of pics once the shoot happens!
This afternoon we did a high school senior shoot for Grayson. He had a really unique look that was cool to photograph:

Starting June 1st, we instituted some new office hours for our business. With our old hours, we ended up having meetings every night, sometimes until as late as 11:00 at night. It was very difficult for us because we never had a night to ourselves. We realized that we had to run our business like every other business and have set working hours. We knew this was something that we had to do especially with the baby coming. Last night, after we closed, we took a drive out to Metro beach and had some time together (with the camera at home) just sitting outside and reading a book and enjoying the fresh air. That’s one of the first times in a LONG time, that we were able to just take time for ourselves to get outside and just enjoy the cool evening air. It felt like we had a life again and was just a huge relief!! We saw a lot of people outside playing with their kids and it made me realize how important it’s going to be to get away from the work-a-holic ideals that I’ve been living by for the past few years. It’s really fun to look forward to being a Dad!

Yesterday, Nada and Eli were married and had an amazing reception at the Dearborn Inn.
Everything about the day was just spectacular and I think our favorite part was the beginning of the reception with wild and crazy dancing to celebrate their marriage.

This morning, Cheridy and I went out to MackeyKomara LLC who are our financial advisors, friends, and clients. We did some team photos and then some headshots and before finishing up, we had a little fun:

And a more “normal” set of images:

Yesterday Julius and Sabiha got married at Wellers Carriage House in Saline, MI. The day was threatening rain all day long and it started to dump down a few minutes after their outdoor ceremony started. It was a thunderstorm that only lasted for half an hour, but it was enough to soak everyone before they could get under cover. Julius and Sabiha handled it well and enjoyed their day anyway.

Here’s the rain:

Yesterday the Medfords came back over to see their pictures and they put together a couple of really cool composite layouts:
