Maggie is one of our senior ambassadors this year, and we really enjoyed doing her photo shoot this afternoon!

This morning we went and got Cheridy’s 19 week ultrasound. Our little baby OLA is doing just fine. OLA means hello and stands for Our Little Alien.
No…that’s not what we will be naming the child!!

In my never ending quest to create more artistic and unique images, I am starting to explore more textural overlays. There is a photographer/artist named Jesh de Rox who is amazing with this and I purchased some really cool texture files from him to use during the image editing process.
Here’s a sample from my first attempt:

Great news!! I just picked Cheridy up from the hospital and she’s doing much better. After five days in the hospital, she was ready to be home and eating solid foods again!!
This afternoon I was able to do the engagement shoot for Alvin and Jenny in downtown Birmingham, MI.

After the shoot was over, I headed back to the hospital to visit with Cheridy again and unfortunately the doctors still have not done anything. Around 5:00 pm, they came by and said “bad news, the doc went home for the day”. So…basically they did absolutely nothing and she has to stay overnight again.
I was able to visit Cheridy in the hospital after coming home from last nights wedding at around 1:30 am. The hospital was kind enough to let me in to visit with her well past visiting hours since her roommate had been discharged earlier in the day and she had the room to herself.
The tests so far haven’t turned up anything and they are supposed to do more tests on Sunday.
Sunday I got to visit with her during the morning and the docs still hadn’t come by to do any new tests, so she’s just laying there with nothing happening right now.
With Cheridy in the hospital, our good friend Harold from Modern Photoglyphs came with me and helped second shoot the wedding. We were really blessed that he was available! Jeff and Tricia had a beautiful wedding at Wellers in Saline, MI.
Not only was this the first wedding that Cheridy and I didn’t shoot together, but it was also the first night time wedding we’ve ever done. Wellers has what they call “moonlight ceremonies” which they only hold on nights with a full moon. The ceremony started at 10:00 pm. It was very interested shooting in near darkness but we absolutely loved the uniqueness of the event.

The last few days, Cheridy has had some bad abdominal pain. We went and got her checked out at the hospital on Friday and they said that everything with the baby is fine and that the pain is just a fairly standard pregnancy related discomfort. We went back home hoping that it would pass, but it just got worse and worse. She was checked in and they decided to keep her overnight to do some tests. Again, they agreed that everything was fine with the baby, so now we just have to wait and see what they figure out.
