Below is a photo of my friend Todd. Todd is an amazing guy that is going out and serving the world. A few years ago, I had started a small mens bible study group that met every other week. When Todd first came to the group, he didn’t have much focus and direction in his life. Through some of the relationships that Todd had formed with the other men in the group, Todd reconnected with God and is now leaving his stable full time job, going to seminary school and serving the sick, poor, orphaned, and hurting people in the world.
Todd is planning on heading back overseas to do some more mission work and he needs to raise money to get him there, cover health insurance and other expenses while he is there.
If your heart calls you, please support Todd through prayer or through a tax deductible donation.

This morning, I was just reflecting on our lives, and we are so thankful for so many things that we’ve been blessed with and I just felt like expressing that.
We have been incredibly blessed to have a fantastic marriage that just grows stronger every day. We have an amazing little boy who is growing bigger and stronger all the time.
We are thankful for our warm home that we have in the winter time that keeps us all cozy and cuddly. We have an amazing church that teaches us about life, love, and serving the less fortunate. We have the best jobs in the world and we get to bring joy to people with what we do. We also get to work from home and have plenty of family time. We have a great network of family and friends that have helped us as we transition into parenthood and learn about our new lifestyle.
I think all the things that I’ve mentioned above are things that many people don’t have. We know we’ve been blessed and appreciate all these things everyday.
Here’s a photo of Cheridy and Mayz, my two favorite people:

This past weekend, we shot the Bar Mitzvah for Will. Will is an awesome guy and it was really amazing how cool and collected he was even when speaking in front of 300 people.

Tonight was the City Mission fundraiser where the men from my bible study group cooked at Mongolian Barbeque. All the tips for the grill will be donated to City Mission to help sponsor a child’s education. I was the slacker that didn’t get on to the grill to cook, but instead I had the opportunity to mingle with lots of the guests. I just wanted to thank all of our friends and family for making it out to the restaurant to donate money to City Mission. It is definitely appreciated and will go to a great cause!!!
Here’s a picture of Paul and Pete working the grill:

This one is to teach Paul to not make faces like this to someone with a camera and a blog:

Well, I thought it was a beautiful day outside yesterday with the snow sticking to the trees, but yesterday had nothing on today!! This morning was absolutely spectacular. There was a heavy snowfall last night but the temperatures were not too cold so the snow was thick and wet and clung to the trees everywhere. I went back to the nearby park and spent an hour walking around. It was one of the most spectacular scenes I’ve seen in a long time.
What a great way to start out the new year.
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!

After I got home, Cheridy and I decided to have a little fun with Mayz. Since this is the first good snow we’ve had since Mayz was born, we decided to go outside and make a snowman and dress Mayz up like one too. Cheridy bought him this snowman outfit but it’s way too big for him, so we had to fill it with bubble wrap to fill it out. I had to do some photoshopping to make the second snowman and have him holding Mayz. I can’t remember the last time we had snow that packed this well. It took all of about 30 seconds to make the giant snowballs for the snowman.
Cheridy and I had a good time but Mayz was asleep for most of it other than a few seconds of protest.
