This morning we spent some time getting to know Angie during her senior photo shoot. We photographed her sister Melanie a few years ago so it was nice to get to know Angie a bit too. Angie has a very similar sense of humor as Cheridy so they got to crack a lot of sarcastic jokes.
Here’s Angie’s sister Melanie who we photographed a couple years ago:
This afternoon we took high school senior photos for Bobby who goes to Linden High School which is out near Fenton, MI.
Bobby is a pretty serious guy but Cheridy got him to crack a few real smiles here and there.
Here’s a few photos from today’s shoot:
Yesterday we had one of the rainiest days I can remember but that didn’t stop Erin and Michael from enjoying their wedding day.
The wedding ceremony was at St. Hugo of the Hills in Bloomfield Hills, MI followed by the reception at the Italian American Club in Livonia.
We had the pleasure of once again working with the incredible staff from Emerald City Designs.
Here are a few of my favorite pics:
Erin getting ready before the wedding at the Hyatt Dearborn:
Yesterday we photographed a fantastic wedding with Nate and Tara. There were many wedding day firsts for us including watching a snake eating a toad in the backyard, the noise of shotgun blasts while Tara was getting ready, to Tara dancing around with a giant boot since she broke her foot at her bachelorette party two weeks ago. What a day! All day long you could see how much fun Nate and Tara were having.
The weather held up for a beautiful ceremony out at the rock garden on the grounds at Meadowbrook.
Here’s a few of my favorites from yesterday.
Due to Tara’s broken foot, Nate carried her up the aisle after the ceremony:
Bridget is an all-star musician. She plays…everything I think!! Or at least it seems that way.
Today we did her high school senior pics and wanted to incorporate her musical gift into her photos so the first half hour of her shoot we did some really cool photos with her playing the cello, clarinet, and piano. We always love when we can incorporate some type of lifestyle elements into the imagery.
Here’s a few favorites from today.
This afternoon we did a high school senior photo shoot for Bincy. She is one of our studio reps for this year so you might recognize her from some pics on our blog from a few months ago when we did her initial shoot. Bincy is a natural in front of the camera…I’m guessing she watches a lot of America’s Next Top Model…either that or she just has “IT”.
Here’s some pics from today’s shoot:
The next basic photography class dates have just been posted.
If you’re interested, info, dates, registration info, etc. an be found here: http://arisingimages.com/learn/basic_class/
Not too long ago we did a painting for Ali who was one of our senior portrait clients from Rochester Adams High School.
These paintings end up making a really cool art piece which is very unique and different from typical senior pictures.
We’ve been blessed to know the O’Connor family for 4 years now. They come each year to photograph little Fallon for her birthday. They come from Massachusetts each year and with travel schedules, the shoot this year got pushed back a few months, but we were glad to have been able to see them again. It’s been really cool to watch Fallon grow from one year to the next.
We got a ton of great images from the shoot today. Here’s just a few favorites:
The new iphone 3GS has a pretty amazing camera built into it. It’s limited in terms of adjusting exposure and ability to zoom and all that, but the picture quality is really impressive.
I forget that I occasionally snap a couple pics with the built in phone.
Here’s just a few that I took since getting the phone:
On June 26th, we went to Red Oaks Waterpark in Madison Heights. We took Mayz there to go splash and play in the water. They have a pretty incredible kids play area with a giant bucket of water that dumps every few minutes. I just loved all the bright colors.
Here’s a pic of Mayz enjoying himself at the waterpark:
On July 17th we had a photo shoot in Detroit and on the way back it was pretty rainy but we were able to catch a beautiful rainbow on our way home:
This past weekend we were up in Port Sanilac relaxing at the Tice Cottage. Mayz was sitting in his chair with his favorite bears watching the movie Cars with a big smile as Lightning Mcqueen came roaring by:
One of the days we were out there, we went for a walk out to the end of the pier and I got a cool shot of the moody skies over the Port Sanilac Marina:
These photos turned out pretty incredible for being shot with a phone!
Here’s a few video clips of Mayz shot with it too. YouTube’s video quality really sucks and makes this look much worse than it is.
Either way, it’s nice to always have a camera on you!!
This afternoon we spent some time hanging out with Aaron and Amy doing their engagement photos. We had a good time walking around in downtown Rochester to do their pics. For our out of town clients, we do our best to schedule things so they can have their pics taken and come back later the same day to view them so they’ll be coming back in a few minutes!
