Michigan wedding and portrait photography
Today we spent a rainy afternoon with Justin and Melissa doing a studio engagement shoot with them.
Whenever we shoot we try to do things a little bit differently so while in studio today we experimented with different backgrounds and different use of light/poses to get unique photos.
Here are a few favorites from today:
This morning we had a blast shooting Matt and Beth’s wedding. They had a short and intimate wedding at the War Memorial which is a beautiful venue right on Lake St. Clair. We had a spectacular sunny morning and Beth braved the chilly air so that we could do all their wedding photos outside around the War Memorial and the Village in Grosse Pointe. We had a lot of laughs with them this morning and were really glad to be a part of their day.
We had a beautiful fall morning to photograph Eric and Jackie today. There was definitely a lot of laughing and goofing around as we walked around the downtown Rochester, MI area for their engagement pictures.

This afternoon, we have a fantastic engagement shoot with Sam and Angela in their home town of Grosse Pointe. This was our first time doing a photo shoot in the downtown area and there were lots of great places to get some cool pics. It’s always energizing to come home after a great shoot that was filled with lots of laughs and great pics!

This morning, I headed out to the Henry Ford Museum to do a last minute photo shoot for them. They are being honored with a write-up in the Michigan Meetings and Events Magazine and needed some photos of some of their food dishes.
The dishes looked quite tasty!!
