Yesterday we took pictures of Halle from Shrine High School. She’s been playing basketball since she was five, and probably hamming it up for the camera just as long! She was super lively and outgoing for our shoot; Smiles all around!
We worked with super sweet lifeguard Nikky from Dearborn High School the other day for her senior photos. She was really laid back and friendly, we had a great time photographing her! She’s also an amazing Saxophone player, so we were thrilled to be able to capture her playing.
Kevin and Fanchon’s recent engagement shoot started with rain, but a little weather setback stood no chance of dampening this dynamic couples’ spirits! Thankfully the clouds opened up within minutes and we got many terrific shots! You can see the love and laughs all over their faces; We definitely look forward to photographing their fall wedding later this year. We also want to congratulate Fanchon who is scheduled to debut as an anchor of the 10 p.m. news on Fox59 in Indianapolis on July 6. We’re rooting for you!
Last weekend we photographed the wedding of a lovely couple Tom and Kristin. The ceremony was held in the beautiful gardens at Cranbrook and the reception was at the exquisite Townsend Hotel. The day started with Kristin getting her hair and makeup done at Todds Room. She looked stunning in a beautiful gown by Monique Lhullier. We were happy to work alongside coordinator Laura Davis, videographer Don Pham, and transportation specialist Glenn Snively.
Last week we did an amazing engagement shoot with an Ann Arbor couple, Todd and Chelsea. It was a HOT day but they were cool, calm and collected, total pros! We got lots of edgy and stylish shots, which definitely reflect their personalities. The other star of the shoot was Todd’s 1971 Chevelle. They had rented a really cool warehouse for the day, which was a perfect location for this beautiful car.

We recently had the pleasure of photographing Paul & Julie’s wedding, which was held at a private residence in Grosse Pointe. Everyone we worked with was super easy going and relaxed. Julie’s mom Lois was a friendly and familiar face since she had taken our photo class a few months back. The beautiful and sunny day was perfect for a lavish backyard wedding. The amazing flowers, decor, and coordination were handled by our friends at Emerald City Designs. We also got to work alongside John from JD Entertainment and a great videographer, Christin Russman.
Aaron & Amy’s outdoor wedding ceremony and reception were held at the beautiful Meadow Brook Hall. This is one of Metro Detroit’s premier wedding destinations; They deliver luxury! It was a beautiful and rather hot day, but that is much preferred to rain! Everything turned out great. There was a strolling dinner and amazing dessert spread. We felt so welcomed by everyone in their families and bridal party; Such genuine and nice people! It was also great to work with two of our referred vendors: DJ and event planner Mary Ann Ross and Minister Miriam Jerris.
As mentioned, the desserts were a huge hit!
Yesterday we shot pics of the new “Outdoor Oasis” at the Royal Park Hotel. The Royal Park in Rochester, MI is one of the premier wedding and event venues in town so if you are looking for a top venue to hold your Michigan wedding, The Royal Park is the place!!
The owners and staff at the hotel are always looking for ways to do things new, different, and better! They recently added some new outdoor additions to provide a relaxed outdoor venue which is the perfect compliment to the indoor grandeur.
The brand new patio provides an idyllic setting for enjoying a cocktail and a meal while staying out of the hot sun.
For an outdoor event, they just put up a large tent which will provide an outdoor Michigan wedding and event venue that can hold approximately 200 people.
The new outdoor tent which will be a perfect place for an outdoor michigan wedding sits just behind the hotel itself.

Paul and Sandy had their engagement shoot yesterday at Van Hoosen farms. What a hot couple! Paul plays hockey for the NHL and both of them brought major style. Love the shades! We’ll be seeing more of Paul & Sandy very soon as their wedding is right around the corner in July.
Dereck and Julia (who are getting married this August) had their engagement shoot just the other day. We thought it might get rained out, but lo and behold, the bad weather held off! There were lots of laughs on this shoot and we can’t wait to keep it going on their wedding day.
Yesterday we photographed Adam & Sara’s wedding at Cranbrook in Bloomfield Hills, MI. The gardens were pristine and beautiful to shoot. Sara and Adam were both incredibly laid back, especially given the fear of rain, but luckily things held off. We worked with Don & Joanne from Take 1 Productions, who did the videography for the day.
