Our friends at MKD Wealth Coach had their annual half time report hosted at the amazing Royal Park Hotel.
There were strolling hor d’oeuvres along with very unique entertainment; they had an incredible artist create a painting in 30 minutes. The painting depicted a bull and a bear to signify varying stock market conditions. This was followed by Mike Komara sharing MKDs industry perspective to a large crowd of around 160 people.

We just did a photo shoot with Chelsey from Troy Athens High School and got some really great pics! She was very comfortable being a model for the day and was game for going barefoot and splashing around in a stream at the park. Chelsey loves to cook and shop, which shows since she has such a cute and trendy style.

This weekend was the wedding of Eric and Jacqueline at the gorgeous Meadow Brook Hall in Rochester MI. This is one of the top rated venues in the state and Meadow Brook is picture perfect for outdoor weddings. The castle and gardens make for an ideal and luxurious setting that is stunning to photograph year round. It was supposed to storm that day but the weather held up nicely so everyone was able to enjoy the fresh summer air, no umbrellas necessary. Jacqueline made a dramatic entrance at the ceremony by walking out of a fog filled tent wearing a magnificent dress by Katerina Bocci. We also had the pleasure of working with top notch event planner Kathy Byrum from Dream Weddings & Event Planners.

We recently took senior pictures of Ellen, a super sweet girl from Chippewa Valley High. She has been dancing since was 3-years-old and now takes pointe, ballet, and lyrical. She has a quirky fun style and a love of English lit.

We recently took promotional pictures for local singer Zak Baalbaki, who tours the U.S. with an Arabic band. Zak is a really friendly and stylish guy who has been singing for audiences for over 17 years. You can catch a live performance monthly at The Palace of Southfield located in Southfield, Michigan.

This weekend we photographed Adam & Lauren’s wedding. The ceremony was held at Orchard Lake St. Mary’s Chapel and the reception was at the Orchard Lake Country Club both in Orchard Lake, MI. It was a HOT day with some rain showers, yet Lauren was a total trooper about the weather and our creative rescheduling of portraits. The beautiful day had a spectacular ending as fireworks went off on the lake in honor of the new husband and wife.

It was supposed to storm the day we went over to the Schmidt’s house for a family photo shoot, but we were lucky enough to see great weather instead. This super kind and friendly bunch was a lot of fun to shoot. With three kids and an infant running around the energy was very lively. We even got to help catch frogs!

Paul & Sandy’s wedding was held last week at the Wyndgate Country Club. It was a perfect summer day with lots of sunshine and puffy white clouds looking over the pristine grounds.

Last week we took engagement photos for Adam & Alina, yet another hot couple! Adam was the cool guy and Alina was super fun and bubbly. She was actually friends with Adam’s mom, who then set them up and sparks flew. Mom knows best! We are excited to be the photographers for their fall wedding!

We had our first weekend off in quite a while and we were ready to pack in all the fun. We started out the weekend by going to Springhill Camp in Evart, MI with our church (Kensington).
We had the whole camp taken over. Springhill is an AMAZING place. It is a non-profit christian camp and retreat and there is SO much stuff to do, it is amazing!!
As many of you know, we are in the process of adopting two boys, so we now have 3 young boys in the house!!
Unfortunately, since they are not legally ours yet, we can’t post any photos of them on our public blog so those of you that are facebook friends can see some of those.

Anyway…so Springhill is pretty crazy, they have zip lines, kayaking, “the blob” which is a giant airbag that you sit on while someone jumps on the other end to launch you in the water, they have skateparks, archery, high ropes courses, climbing walls, and tons of other fun stuff to do.

Actually those all would be fun things to do if you don’t have three little kids with you. We spent most of the time trying to get the corralled and wait for the tram to take us around. Pretty much all things I mentioned we didn’t get to do BUT…we still had fun just being together.
Overally things didn’t work out super smoothly so we ended up leaving early and heading to Cheridy’s parents house for a fun-filled Sunday of water sports. The boys all had a chance to swim and play together. Grandpa let them all sit on his lap and drive the boat which was fun. We also got to watch cousin Willow on the tube and I got a great photo of her catching some serious airtime…I’m not sure how she didn’t wipe out on the this one!
