The next class will be Sunday October 17th, 2010 in Rochester Hills.
This class will take a max of 16 people that will fill up first come first served.
Registration info can be found below.
$275 with DVD (recommended), $235 without DVD (DVD sells separately for $100)
In this class, we will cover the basics of photography including the main four subjects - Aperture, Shutter Speed, ISO, and White Balance. We will explain the fundamentals of how these four things impact your images along with how, when, and why you want to be able to control them and not leave your camera on automatic.
The lecture will be intermixed with hands on training so you have to bring your camera with you.
If you don't know anything about our business or who we are or what we do, then scroll to the bottom and watch the slideshow. Also, you can read some testimonials by clicking this text.
You will be provided your 60 page class book, that will walk you through everything talked about in the class, as soon as you register and it is STRONGLY recommended that you read in advance of the class. The class itself will be a packed day of lecture and hands-on practice as outlined below.
An optional add-on which most people get is a DVD with a series of lessons to go through (outlined below). After going through the class and going through the DVD videos, you will have one week to go out and shoot some images and then email me your favorites. I will edit the images and post a website with all the images showing a before/after version along with providing a critique of the image and the image settings and giving a brief explanation of which photoshop techniques were used.
Lunch will be provided along with snacks and drinks.

This class is available to anyone over 16 years old and you can have pretty much any camera that allows for manual adjustments. The people that typically benefit the most are those with SLR cameras such as a Canon Rebel, Nikon D70, or similar. By the end of the class, most people that attend with point and shoot cameras realize how limiting their camera actually is and end up upgrading. That being said, the fundamentals can still be learned even if you have a point and shoot camera and most classes have a couple people with point and shoots so don't let that deter you from signing up.
Required:
Camera and lens (preferrably an SLR camera but point and shoot cameras with full options can be used)
Optional (but helpful):
Prep before class by reading through class manual (STRONGLY suggested)
Tripod (can be used for a number of different demos but if you don't have one, you can use and share mine)
Cable release (will use for one demo if you have one)
External flash
(will use for one demo if you have one)
