This weekend was the wedding of Eric and Jacqueline at the gorgeous Meadow Brook Hall in Rochester MI. This is one of the top rated venues in the state and Meadow Brook is picture perfect for outdoor weddings. The castle and gardens make for an ideal and luxurious setting that is stunning to photograph year round. It was supposed to storm that day but the weather held up nicely so everyone was able to enjoy the fresh summer air, no umbrellas necessary. Jacqueline made a dramatic entrance at the ceremony by walking out of a fog filled tent wearing a magnificent dress by Katerina Bocci. We also had the pleasure of working with top notch event planner Kathy Byrum from Dream Weddings & Event Planners.
Meadow Brook Weddings
Meadow Brook is truly a magical place to get married at. Whether you have an indoor or outdoor Michigan wedding ceremony or an indoor or outdoor wedding reception, Meadow Brook has different options for all of them, and each are as beautiful as the next.
We've impressed presidents, princes, movie stars and moguls. YOU AND YOUR WEDDING will get the same attention. - Meadow Brook
Three lovely spots for your Michigan wedding are the Pegasus Garden and the Rock Garden, and the Breakfast Garden.
Traditionally known as the Breakfast Garden because of its location off the Breakfast Room, this formal garden is enclosed with brick walls and is one of our most popular spots for a wedding ceremony. The Rock Garden, a magnificent combination of open space, floral gardens, and old-world charm. - Meadow Brook
If you're looking to have a larger wedding reception, of course they can accommodate that! The offer a garden tent that holds all your friends and family comfortably.
For larger wedding receptions, the Garden Tent is available from mid May through mid October. Positioned on the expanse of lawn south of the Pegasus Garden, the majestic white tent has become Meadow Brook Hall's symbol of summer wedding magic.
Here's some more about the indoor features of Meadow Brook Hall:
With an indoor wedding, the dining experience takes place in the breathtaking Christopher Wren Dining Room. Giuseppe Corrado Parducci, the renowned Detroit sculptor, designed and articulated the elaborate plaster ceiling after 18th century designs by Christopher Wren, the champion of the Neo-Classical period. Though styled after the work of this architect, the final result is completely unique. The Ballroom at Meadow Brook Hall is the perfect location for smaller, intimate indoor ceremonies and is used as the rain back-up site for outdoor wedding ceremonies. It seats 125 facing the fireplace or 170 facing the beautiful second story stained glass windows. The smaller wedding events (under 100) use the Ballroom for dancing after dinner in the Christopher Wren Dining Room.
Your indoor Michigan wedding photography will be unique and artistic, with great ornate and intricate detailed architecture as your backdrop that is displayed throughout the mansion. The Dodge Mansion and all the grounds of Meadow Brook provide many beautiful and unique locations that work perfectly for your outdoor Michigan wedding photography.
We hope you'll enjoy these images from past Meadow Brook Hall weddings, and we look forward to speaking with you about your Michigan wedding photography!
Aaron & Amy’s outdoor wedding ceremony and reception were held at the beautiful Meadow Brook Hall. This is one of Metro Detroit’s premier wedding destinations; They deliver luxury! It was a beautiful and rather hot day, but that is much preferred to rain! Everything turned out great. There was a strolling dinner and amazing dessert spread. We felt so welcomed by everyone in their families and bridal party; Such genuine and nice people! It was also great to work with two of our referred vendors: DJ and event planner Mary Ann Ross and Minister Miriam Jerris.
As mentioned, the desserts were a huge hit!
Yesterday we worked another amazing wedding with the staff at Emerald City Designs and Meadow brook Hall in Rochester Hills. Chris and Melissa had so much fun it was contagious and you could see the joy on their faces all day long. The decor and flowers done by Emerald City were crazy awesome and we also enjoyed getting to work with Ryan and his team from Epic Motion along with ShutterBooth who is always a party favorite.
Here are a few of my favorite photos from yesterday’s wedding:
Yesterday we photographed a fantastic wedding with Nate and Tara. There were many wedding day firsts for us including watching a snake eating a toad in the backyard, the noise of shotgun blasts while Tara was getting ready, to Tara dancing around with a giant boot since she broke her foot at her bachelorette party two weeks ago. What a day! All day long you could see how much fun Nate and Tara were having.
The weather held up for a beautiful ceremony out at the rock garden on the grounds at Meadowbrook.
Here’s a few of my favorites from yesterday.
Due to Tara’s broken foot, Nate carried her up the aisle after the ceremony:
Friday we had a spectacular day with John and Meg photographing their wedding at Meadow Brook Mansion which is one of the most impressive historical mansions in the United States.
They had a beautiful outdoor ceremony in the Pegasus garden followed by a tent reception overlooking the golf course.

The Simone Vitale Band rocked out the reception and kept the dance floor packed.
