We recently photographed a gorgeous wedding for Jason and Jamie at the beautiful Orchard Lake Country Club. With Carolyn Hefner as their wedding planner, this wedding was absolutely amazing down to every last detail.
We were in love with Jamie’s gorgeous Roma Sposa wedding dress. It was light and loose, which made for the perfect attire on such a hot day. She made a great choice not to wear something heavy and billowing and she looked absolutely stunning. Jamie also chose to have her maid of honor wearing a different color dress than the rest of her bridesmaids. This seems to be a new trend in weddings lately and it actually looks very pretty! Her maid of honor was wearing a royal blue dress and her other bridesmaids had on the same dress in a deep purple. They all looked great!
Jason and Jamie had their ceremony outside at the country club, which was perfect. It was breathtaking being right next to the water. They kept things simple and elegant for the ceremony, with white chairs and beautiful white flowers as decoration. Their ceremony was very sweet. They did things a little differently, which we loved. Instead of lighting a unity candle, they planted a tree together. They each added soil and watered it together. It was an awesome moment.
Their reception took place inside the country club and boy was it beautiful! They had the cutest decorations that represented themselves and their relationship. One of their favorite things to do is go fishing together, so they had a “Gone Fishing” sign and cute fish cookies with fun quotes. It’s always amazing seeing all the thought and detail that goes into creating a couple’s dream wedding! They also had Bellisario as their Florist and as always their work was gorgeous! Just when we thought this wedding couldn’t be more beautiful, unique and fun, Carolyn Hefner had a huge surprise for everyone! She revealed an entire candy room complete with cotton candy, ice cream and caramel corn. Everyone was so surprised and absolutely loved it!
At the end of the night Jason and Jamie, their parents and their bridal party all headed outside for a unique and memorable moment. They had beautiful lanterns that they all lit together and let off into the sky. It was very fun and I’m sure will be a moment that they will never forget!
