This weekend we had the pleasure of kicking off our first 2014 wedding with Kristin and Eric! Plymouth, Michigan is a special place for this awesome couple. They got engaged in Plymouth and a lot of other important moments in their relationship happened in that city. So they found it very fitting to have their wedding and reception there as well.
Kristin looked absolutely stunning in her wedding dress. We loved the vintage hair piece she wore. It had a flower that matched her wedding decor and it added such classic beauty to her look. Kristin and Eric had a perfect “first look” and they couldn’t stop beaming at each other. After their first look, we took them around downtown Plymouth to capture some beautiful images of them. There were so many cool brick walls that were perfect for creating some unique images. Kristin and Eric are so cute and sweet together. It was the perfect way to begin their special day.
Kristin and Eric had both their ceremony and reception at the Meeting House Grand Ballroom and their entire day was perfect. There were so many unique details to their wedding, I don’t know where to begin! One thing that totally blew our mind was that Eric designed and created their ketubah. It was a beautifully designed tree with branches that was meant to represent the tree of life. It had all of their wedding colors incorporated into it as well. We’ve never seen anyone design their own. It was such a cool idea and the perfect keepsake for their generations to come. Ribar Floral did an amazing job with all of the flowers at their wedding. We loved the bright and bold colors that they used! Wedding Celebration Creation did a beautiful job with all of the linens. Another unique thing about this wedding was their cake. They didn’t have the traditional tiered cake that we usually see. Instead they had multiple cakes that were all designed a little differently. Rumi’s Passion did a fantastic job creating all their cakes! It was something totally different and it looked amazing! Perhaps one of our favorite details was the table numbers. There was a childhood picture of Kristin and Eric an age that corresponded with each table number. It was so cool to see pictures of them growing up and it made us want to go and check out every single table! Everyone seemed to be having such a blast celebrating with Kristin and Eric. People were dancing the night away while Rare Blend Band kept the vibes high and the music playing! We have worked with the Rare Blend Band a couple times in the past and it is always a pleasure. We even photographed their daughter Lynn’s wedding last year! It was so nice to see them all again!
