As metro Detroit wedding photographers, we have photographed many couples at every venue in town, and we never get tired of hearing these love stories. Tricia and Gared’s day was just as perfect as we had hoped. These two are both pilots for the Air Force, and they got married at the beautiful Henry Ford Museum, under many historical planes – it couldn’t have been more perfect! We personally think the Henry Ford Museum is one of the coolest and most unique wedding venues in Michigan, and we are always so in love with Henry Ford Museum wedding photography! Once you see the pictures of this day, we’re sure you’ll agree with us.
We started our day in the bridal suite with Tricia as she prepped for her big day. Her a-line lace dress looked stunning on her, and the beaded details along the waist and sweetheart neckline hit her in all the right places! Of course, any bride who wears sneakers on her wedding day is automatically the best bride ever! These white glitter sneakers with ribbon lacing was perfect for this laid-back bride. Her bridal party got ready in cozy plaid robes and enjoyed a fun champagne toast to the soon-to-be-newlyweds!
After an adorable first look, this bride and groom had plenty of time to get some amazing photos around the museum, the grounds, and the stunning halls. Henry Ford Museum wedding photography is always amazing, and we think this is one of the best venues for those cold months! Indoor wedding photography here is some of the most beautiful photos you’ll see. Not a lot of wedding venues can create such lovely indoor photos like this venue can, so if you’re planning a winter wedding, consider the Henry Ford Museum for your venue!
After the portraits, the sun went down, and it’s time to get married! This ceremony was sweet and full of smiles. How amazing to get married surrounded by all this Detroit history!
Now it’s time for the reception! The museum is already decked out for Christmas, so Tricia and Gared went right along with it. Their colors and decor perfectly suited the stunning gold-laden Christmas tree. Their decor also reflected their own lives. They included two ice sculptures at their reception – one of Tricia’s plane and one of Gared’s plane. Their wedding cake was perfectly placed under a plane of its own, with a world map in gold fondant on the second tier. These two did not overlook over any details! Their wedding was truly personal and perfect. Keep scrolling to see a full list of the vendors that made this day happen!
Congratulations, you two! Thank you so much for letting us be a part of your big day.
