Earlier this summer we had the pleasure of being a part of a proposal at Cranbrook! Cranbrook proposal photography usually takes place in the gardens, and this one did not disappoint! Our groom Deep did a great job, and of course, she said yes!!

We love being a part of proposals. Shooting proposal photos has a sense of anticipation, surprise, and mystery – you never know how it will go! Luckily, this future groom was calm, cool, and collected. Matt and Danielle arrived at the Cranbrook House and Gardens under the story that Danielle’s friend was scoping out locations for an engagement session. Little did she know she was about to have her own engagement session! You can see some of their favorite photos below.
After a sweet and emotional proposal (she said YES!), we walked around the Cranbrook Gardens for their engagement photos.
Later on, some family showed up to celebrate with the newly engaged couple! There were speeches, toasts, and of course, some family photos.

We had the pleasure of photographing something very special recently… proposal portraits! Joe was going to propose to his girlfriend Scarlett and wanted the moment documented, so he gave us a call! We were so excited at the chance to work on this with him, and to make sure it was a complete surprise for Scarlett! We kept everything off email and only called him while she was at work, we met him at the proposal site a week before the big day to plan everything out… it was all very stealthy, and very romantic! When the day came, we hid out among the beautiful Cranbrook gardens and waited for the happy couple to show up. When they did, everything went exactly to plan, and it’s safe to say Scarlett was surprised! And of course – she said yes!!
Talk about a beautiful moment! We felt so blessed to be able to witness such a wonderful couple get engaged, and of course to be the ones to photograph it for them! After the shock of the proposal died down a little, we introduced ourselves to the future Mrs. and walked around the Cranbrook House & Gardens for their engagement photos. This couple was on cloud nine (understandably so!), and it’s easy to see that in their photos! They were so loving and sweet to each other, it’s safe to say they’ll have a very happy life together.
We can’t thank Joe enough for trusting us with this special moment. We’re so happy they love the pictures as much as we do! This was such a fun shoot for us, we hope we get to work with Joe and Scarlett again the future!
