Not too long ago, we had the opportunity to visit and photograph a stunning winter wedding for Brendan and Jessica at the beautiful Detroit Athletic Club. From custom hangers to robes, the love that surrounded their special day was definitely in the details. Their classic black and white color palette was perfectly accented with soft shades of pink and cream which really brought this elegant Michigan wedding together.
Prior to their ceremony, Brendan and Jessica decided to do a first look, which as wedding photographers, we just love! Being able to capture the heartwarming emotion between the two of them as they kissed and looked deeply into each other’s eyes was one of our favorite parts of the day.
After this wonderful moment, we proceeded to head outside for some awesome winter bride and groom photos. The snow may have been adding a chill to the air but you would have never been able to tell with the loving warmth that exuded between Jessica and Brendan. Whether they were laughing together or sharing an intimate gaze in The DAC Rooftop Restaurant, you could tell that they had truly found their soulmates in one another.
Upon concluding the early evening with cool bridal party photos, it was time for Jessica and Brendan’s traditional Jewish wedding ceremony. Their chuppah was handsomely decorated by the amazing Emerald City Designs who also assembled the lovely traditional rose and hydrangea bouquets for all of the ladies. The simple, ethereal chiffon that adorned the symbol of the home that the couple would go on to build together matched Jessica’s stunning Bridal Couture dress so perfectly, one would have though it was cut from the same cloth.
Immediately following the ceremony, guests were welcomed into Brendan and Jessica’s breathtaking Detroit Athletic Club reception, which was once again decorated by the ever- talented staff at Emerald City Designs. The couple’s amazing five tier cake was expertly constructed by the wonderfully skilled pastry chef of the DAC and fit the overall feel of the day perfectly. All of the beautiful accents and special touches made getting gorgeous reception detail shots a breeze.
After dinner, it was time to party which was kicked off by Jessica and Brendan’s heartfelt first dance which was quickly followed by the traditional Jewish Horah, celebrating the couple’s nuptials. Whether slow and romantic or upbeat and fun, the Bluewater Kings band rocked the house all evening.
Thank you so very much, Jessica & Brendan, for allowing us to photograph the beauty and love of your day!
